Need a safe, test-ready vehicle for your Hawaii road exam? We’ve got you covered. At Driving School of Hawaii, we offer fully insured Road Test Car Rentals and optional pre-test lessons to help you feel prepared and pass with confidence.

Our car rental service is available to any student who is eligible for the Hawaii State Drivers Road Test for $150.    

We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, and Apple Pay via our website Buy Now Buttons for all course and lesson payments.

Car Rental for Road Test

$175 - $225 - Rental

  • Arrive 30 Minutes prior to testo to allow time to properly set up the car and familiarize the student with the vehicle controls and answer any last minutes questions. 
  • Fully insured vehicle, maintained to road test standards
  • Pickup and drop-off options NOT available at this time. 
  • Service area: Oahu Testing Areas
  • Scheduling is flexible — 7 days per week evenings, and weekends available
  • Location: Oahu DMV Locations
  • By enrolling, you agree to all policies outlined in the FAQ Page. 
  • If your test is already schedule, please contact us prior to purchase to ensure the date is available. (Online Calendar coming soon.)

Car Rental for Waianae, Kapahulu, Koolau, Kapalama DMV Road Test - $225 + Tax

How Many Lessons Will You Need?

Every adult learns at their own pace. As a general guideline, adult learners often benefit from:
• 6–10 hours for road test preparation and confidence
• 10–20 hours for full driving comfort and road-readiness

Our instructors assess your progress throughout and recommend next steps based on your skill level and comfort.
